Why was Stream Bridge created
Stream Bridge was born from a simple frustration: the difficulty of sharing professional video streams over the internet. Traditional solutions were either too complex, too expensive, or lacked the flexibility needed for modern production workflows.
The Problem We Faced
In today's world of remote work and distributed teams, video professionals face a constant challenge: how do you share high-quality video streams with clients, collaborators, or remote team members without compromising on quality, latency, or ease of use?
We saw content creators, production teams, and broadcasters struggling with fragmented tools and complicated setups. Some solutions required extensive technical knowledge to configure. Others came with enterprise-level price tags that put them out of reach for smaller teams. Many lacked the real-time performance needed for live production work.
The Vision
There had to be a better way—a platform that bridges the gap between local production and remote collaboration seamlessly. We envisioned a solution that would:
- Work with professional video sources like NDI without requiring complex network configurations
- Provide sub-500ms latency for real-time collaboration
- Offer an intuitive interface that doesn't require a technical background
- Scale from individual creators to enterprise teams
- Maintain broadcast-quality video throughout the entire workflow
Building the Solution
Stream Bridge represents our answer to these challenges. We've built a platform that leverages WebRTC technology to deliver low-latency streaming, combined with an interface designed for video professionals who want to focus on their craft, not on configuring complex systems.
Our Bridge mode takes this a step further, allowing you to convert streams between formats and share them with applications that don't natively support your source format. This flexibility means you can use the tools you love, regardless of their input requirements.
